The Teaching Innovation Track focuses on innovations in instruction, learning, and education in Operations Management and closely related fields within decision sciences. The main theme in this teaching track is How to Make Operations Management a Better Course.  Key areas of interest  include (but are not limited to)

  • Lecture capture technology- Camtasia, Echo360 etc.
  • Tablets and laptops in classroom.
  • Online and Hybrid teaching and testing.
  • Learning management systems (Blackboard, Moodle, Sakai, Vanvas, etc.).
  • Online resources – TED, Khan Academy, and the Youtube repository.
  • Online proctoring tools—Respondus Monitor, and Proctorio.
  • Virtual classroom- Second Life, Collaborate, etc.
  • Accessibility in online teaching.
  • Academic honesty in online teaching.
  • Hybrid- blended classes.
