Organizational Behavior

The Organization Behavior (OB) track focuses on understanding how employees’ attitudes and behavior affects organizational effectiveness. The field of OB studies employee characteristics, processes and behaviors at three levels of analysis – individual, groups and organization. Accordingly, this track welcomes scholarly contributions analyzing the behaviors and their outcomes at these three levels within an organizational context. Key areas of interest within this track include topics as mentioned below (but is not limited to):

  • Individual level characteristics and processes – Attitudes, Personality, Values, Motivation, Emotions, Perceptions and decision-making
  • Group level characteristics and processes- Group roles, Cohesion, Communication, Leadership, Conflict and negotiation
  • Organizational characteristics and processes- Power and politics, Organization Culture, Structure, Ethics, Change management, Organizational Performance, Survival
