Healthcare Operations

The Healthcare Operations track focuses on research examining concepts, strategies, processes, methods, and/or practices that enable healthcare organizations to increase their performance on the triple aim of improving patients’ experience and the quality of care, improving population health, and reducing the per capital cost of health care. Submissions are invited in the general areas of Healthcare Operations Management (including topics such as lean applications, systems analysis, continuous improvement, and supply chain processes), Healthcare Analytics, and Health Care Decision Making Models.

Key areas of interest within this track include (but are not limited to):

  • quality and process improvement in healthcare delivery
  • patient safety and continuity of care
  • healthcare supply chain
  • healthcare information technology (IT)
  • health care scheduling
  • analytic models for healthcare delivery
  • healthcare economics
  • global healthcare design
